Welcome to our new ‘Fun With Science’ class series. This is one part of our new ‘Adventures In Education’ course series beginning soon!!
These new classes are unlike typical or even commonly found English Language Learning classes (ESL) because we take a double-sided approach. We tackle learning English while also making it interesting and inspiring kids to research, learn and explore more independently outside of the classroom.
Sitting in a chair for an hour just reading and writing English is boring for many people, not just kids, so taking a more interactive and hands on approach to engage students and help them become more active in learning is a necessary priority in education today.
Learning today is much different than learning 30, 20 or even 10 years ago. The world has changed, technology has changed, and science itself has changed with old truths thrown out the window and new things found to replace them. Education has to change and adapt to this as well as accommodate new concepts, ideas and technology.
We decided to build a group of classes around this concept, using traditional and new means to interest today’s generation in all science has to offer by not just reading and writing, but with hands on experiments and VR (virtual reality) instruction and a few other cool new things.
We want to help the next generation find their passion, nurture it and watch it grow

For girls with long hair, we recommend that you tie your hair back so that it does not accidentally fall into or get stuck in what you are working on.fy some important things about the program and classes.
We may update this as well as we progress if we find there are things we missed or need to clarify further.
These are hands-on and classroom classes using technology, supplies for experiments and projects, and a lot of work on the part of the instructor regarding lesson plans and preparation as well as in-class work with students.
Due to this, we have sat down and discussed how to plan these classes so that the students are not overwhelmed and enjoy classes, while keeping the fun in everything while also balancing the amount of workload on the instructor so that it is not overwhelming.
This was what we decided on:
1. Classes will be held 2 times a month. Classes are approximately 1 ½ hours each class.
a. The first class will be a classroom class, with VR (virtual reality) as well as video supplements, with fun explanations and some desk work.
b. The second class will be hands on experiments or projects, following up on and expanding upon the previous class's topic.
2. There will also be a SET DATE AND TIME for these classes which cannot be changed. These classes require a lot of preparation, so rescheduling for different dates and times is not possible for different students.
a. We have decided on SUNDAYS FOR ALL SCIENCE CLASSES. This way students are not tired from attending school that day before class, and they are rested and ready to learn.
b. Classes will be held on the 1st and 3rd OR the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. The below schedule is the schedule decided on. This is so that if students wish to enroll in more than one class program, they are able to do so.
i. Fun With Chemistry 1st and 3rd Sundays at 10 AM
ii. Fun With Biology & Life Sciences 2nd and 4th Sundays at 10 PM
iii. Fun With Geology & Earth Science 1st and 3rd Sundays at 12 PM
iv. Fun With Space & Astronomy 2nd and 4th Sundays at 12 PM
v. Fun With Physics 1st and 3rd Sundays at 2 PM
vi. Fun With STEM & Robotics 2nd and 4th Sundays at 2 PM
c. These classes use supplies and equipment that are expensive and require ordering for each class from a distributor. Due to this we will have a minimum 6-month requirement for registration for each course. There is a 6-month and a 1 year option for enrollment.
Payment for each month is due in full by the end of the first week of each month.
The cost of the ‘Chemistry’, ‘Biology & Life Science’, ‘Geology & Earth Science’, ‘Space & Astronomy’, and ‘Physics’ courses is 11,000¥ per course, per month, per student.
The cost of the STEM & Robotics course will be slightly higher due to the type and amount of materials and technology which will be used. When we know the cost of this course, we will update it here.
The first months payment for of the ‘Chemistry’, ‘Biology & Life Science’, ‘Geology & Earth Science’, ‘Space & Astronomy’, and ‘Physics’ courses will also have a mandatory 5000¥ registration fee as well as the 1st and 2nd months course fee, for a total of 27,000¥ for the first payment. After that it is the per month course fee only.
Upon registration, you will get a registration form, privacy policy, release of liability form, a class schedule and a few other documents.
Payment through PayPal is an option for payment if using a credit card or bank account (we do not keep any payment details here and we will not ask for any either), as well as bank transfer. Cash is also accepted.
We do not anticipate any additional charges and fees for these classes, unless there is a ‘field trip’ scheduled, which will let you know of in advance.
d. Students should wear comfortable clothing, that are for playing, as some experiments and classes may be messy, and we don’t want anyone to ruin good clothing.
For girls with long hair, we recommend that you tie your hair back so that it does not accidentally fall into or get stuck in what you are working on.
e. There is a CLASS MAXIMUM of 8 students for safety reasons since the classes are interactive and the instructor monitors everyone’s progress.
f. We have posted the ‘Start Dates’ for each course in the section above, but here is an overview of the dates here.
Registration is 1 MONTH BEFORE you wish to join the class, this way we can order the supplies and equipment you will use in the classes. You can join any course at any time, you will start at the course’s current lessons.
Fun With Chemistry Registration is 1 MONTH BEFORE
Fun With Biology & Life Sciences Registration is 1 MONTH BEFORE
Fun With Geology & Earth Science Registration is 1 MONTH BEFORE
Fun With Space & Astronomy Registration is 1 MONTH BEFORE
Fun With Physics Registration is 1 MONTH BEFORE
Fun With STEM & Robotics Registration is 1 MONTH BEFORE
Registration is a month before the course begins or the date you wish to begin classes so that we may order the correct amount of supplies and equipment so that every student has access to it during classes.
g. We do not have set plans for this as of yet, but in the future, there may be times where there are short videos or pictures taken of classes in session. These would be for our own website to show class experiences and updates.
Also, we may hold open houses or ‘science fairs on-site or post them as an online exhibit for everyone to enjoy and learn from.
h. Policy regarding cancellations: If you cannot attend a class and need to cancel your attendance in it, we cannot reschedule the class. Please see above regarding set class times.
Additionally, class fees cannot be carried over to the next month as the fees for each month cover the costs of the classes and experiments/projects FOR THAT MONTH.
Since there is only a 6-month or 1-year enrollment plan for the courses, if you chose to leave the course before your enrollment period expires, you will still be responsible for the cost for the whole enrollment period.
These are real classes and require real interest and commitment on the part of the student and the parent to attend.
We are currently in open enrollment for our 'Fun With Chemistry course and are in the process of ordering equipment. Register soon for a spot in this course!
