'Growing Up Jewish' Project

Our history is woven together with the places we've lived. This projects aims are to give the names of the Jewish immigrants who came to NY and NJ in the 1900's and helped to shape the city with their customs, beliefs and culture.

In the first part of the project, I will recapture the faces and history from memories and research, giving them an new life and a voice, bringing that history into the present.

This part of the project will bring the culture and practices of the Jewish community into focus. From illustrations and pictures of events, places and people throughout the past 150 years to the present spanning from NY/NJ all the way to Israel, both past and modern times. Giving new life and color to the vibrancy of 'Growing Up Jewish' and the many colorful parts to it.
